Tabitha Lakeland, VIC

Born in late 2019 during the pandemic, Emotionology offers emotion support cards to help children identify, articulate, communicate and accept their emotions.

After being inspired by her 10-year-old son’s experience navigating his own emotions, Melbourne based Holistic Counsellor, Tabitha Lakeland began the journey of developing a resource for children to better understand their emotions without judgement. The entire collection - all illustrated by Tabitha’s son - has been carefully curated after learning of the devastating statistics around children suffering with emotional and mental wellness.

Tabitha hopes to one day have the Emotionology collection offered in multiple languages. Always looking to give back, Tabitha’s goals are to make an impact on a global scale by linking arms with like minded charities, and donating a portion of sales to children everywhere who need it most.

Tabitha was ecstatic when she received the call informing her she was a Find Your Amazing finalist, and says that winning would not only be a financial support, but confirmation that people believe in the brand and product as much as she does.

Maree Glading, NZ

New Zealand born skincare brand Evre promotes beauty positivity and mental wellbeing amongst teens.

Founded by Maree Glading after failing to locate the right skincare products for her daughter, the Evre range was made for teenagers and formulated with 100% natural and certified ingredients. Having had no luck identifying natural, gentle, toxic-free products, Maree knew she wanted to develop a cruelty-free range that young girls would feel good about putting on their skin.

As someone who is passionate about creating a purpose-led business, Maree has committed to donating 2% of all Evre sales to Youthline - a New Zealand not-for-profit supporting young people with mental health - in order to create a brand that promotes self-care and educates on the importance of mental health.

As Evre is still in its infancy, Maree hopes to utilise the grant to ultimately become the number one preferred skincare brand for teens and tweens in New Zealand and Australia. In Maree’s words, “I developed this brand so it could compete on the world stage and believe that where focus goes energy flows”.

Shape Tins

Tessa Manning, NSW

Shape Tins is a modern children's birthday cake book which comes with a set of four specially designed, versatile and unique cake tins - all made with recyclable packaging. Included in the set is a series of decorating "cheat sheet" designs printed onto edible paper, making birthday cake decorating easy.

Taking inspiration from her children, Southern Highlands based lawyer and mum, Tessa Manning,
created Shape Tins after constant requests to create birthday cakes during the pandemic. Tessa says her children’s boundless imaginations inspired every Shape Tins cake design and continue to be her biggest inspiration. As Tessa describes it, “Shape Tins is definitely a case of art imitating life – if my kids love it, there’ll be a Shape Tins cake for it!”

Tessa’s long term goal is to be as iconic for today’s generation of Aussie kids as the Women’s Weekly Children’s Birthday Cake Book was for her generation. Having grown up always wanting to work in the design space, Tessa is excited to finally be creating and selling a product she truly believes in.

After spending the past year getting the product and her processes right, winning a $20,000 grant means Tessa can finally develop and implement a marketing strategy to further build brand awareness and get the product out there, the way she’s always dreamed of!

The Daily Routine

Natalie Herscu, VIC

The Daily Routine is a sustainable essentials brand on a mission to eliminate plastic waste. A refillable model allows for a reduction in the environmental impacts of packaging, transport and waste. Beginning with hand wash, The Daily Routine has innovated Australia’s first water-soluble, plant-based pods and aren’t stopping there.

Natalie Herscu, together with her housemate and business partner Ruby, have a clear vision: to become a household name in the personal and home care space so that they can eliminate single-use plastic in every home. The ‘Keeper Bottle’ and hand wash pod range has all been created using post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR) - a sustainable material that is still safe for your family to use in high-risk areas like the bathroom.

In the next 5 years, their hope is to become the leading brand in the eco-luxury market and see their products in leading retail stores, both locally and internationally. The aim is to become a 100% Australian made business. If The Daily Routine were to win Find Your Amazing, they would look to identify ways to design, formulate and manufacture pods here in Australia.

Inspired by the indomitable Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Natalie notes that while getting a business off the ground is tough, she remains invigorated to work hard and approach challenges with an unstoppable spirit. The Daily Routine is over the moon to be one of the Find Your Amazing finalists.

Wild Mingo

Candice Lester, VIC

Eco-conscious fitness brand Wild Mingo is all about bringing joy to your workout. After being inspired by a talented Melbourne artist and friend, Melbourne born pilates obsessed Candice Lester, developed the idea for Wild Mingo.

Having always had the ambition to brighten up the fitness industry through colour that sparks joy, Candice collaborated with incredible female artist Ashleigh Ben-Danan to design exercise mats that would give people a reason to smile every time they workout.

After losing her mother unexpectedly in 2021, Candice launched Wild Mingo as a way to distract herself and build something beautiful - launching on what would have been her mother’s 70th birthday. Candice says her mother’s generosity and kindness taught her to take risks, fail and get right back up again which is why she chose to name the Wild Mingo ‘Dot’ mat after her. In Candice’s words, “the mat is subtle yet fierce, and supportive yet beautiful - just like my mother was.”

The Wild Mingo product range is currently made with recycled rubber however, Candice says that winning Find Your Amazing would help fast-track her sustainability goals, in particular her vision for exploring the use of more sustainable materials through new products.
