DECJUBA respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and gather. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation where our head office is based, and the traditional owners of the lands across this nation where our DECJUBA stores are located. We pay our respects to Elders, both past and present.

OUR COMMITMENT
During NAIDOC Week, $2 from every transaction will be donated to MITS as part of our ongoing partnership to help create educational pathways for Indigenous students from remote and regional communities.

As we enter into the second year of our ongoing partnership, DECJUBA Foundation will continue our support of MITS by funding the education and boarding of 22 female year 7 students.
OUR IMPACT

With the support from DECJUBA Foundation, MITS is able to provide an immersive educational and boarding experience to 22 female Year 7 students, who would otherwise not be able to receive it.
The MITS school enables access to learning and development opportunities through the one year transition program where the students have the freedom to thrive in a culturally safe space. The program has already proven to be incredibly successful, with Year 7 students experiencing, on average, two years’ academic growth in one year at MITS.
The Year 7 MITS program not only supports the development of students through their educational aspirations, it also places strong emphasis on student wellbeing - understanding that when the students are feeling happy and confident in themselves, they are more enthusiastic and willing to learn.
