Sustainability
We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint.
We are continually looking for new ways to reduce our environmental footprint and have implemented a number of programs which reduce landfill and energy consumption. We take considered steps to ensure we act with a sustainable mindset and we have recycling & energy saving measures in place with the purpose of minimising waste across the business.

We use 100% recycled paper at Head Office. This paper is locally produced, from 100% post-consumer waste.

We use Dropbox to share files digitally between Head Office and our stores, reducing our paper trail.

We use Phillips A rated energy saving light globes, reducing energy consumption.

We aim to use energy efficient hardware.

We use biodegradable bags & post satchels, saving them from a lifetime in landfill.
At Head Office, we have utilised Cloud systems to reduce the number of physical servers needed. We have moved our email systems to the Cloud and are currently planning the migration of our drives and remaining servers to the Cloud. In reducing the number of physical serves needed we have reduced our carbon footprint.
We are excited to have implemented the Visy Paper Recycling Program at Head Office to minimise paper waste. In FY2015-16 alone, Visy recovered more than 1.7 million tonnes of paper and cardboard to be recycled. Through this program paper and cardboard saved from landfill is used as the starting point for many products.
We are proud to have implemented the Nespresso recycling program at our Head Office. This is a program that reduces landfill while transforming the recovered coffee grounds into compost and compacting the aluminium pods which are then refined for re-use in a variety of products.
We are proud to partner with Enable Australia's IT equipment recycling program. The program has a strong environmental and social impact. Enable re-deploys old computers, thus reducing landfill. Recycled computers are distributed locally to assist disadvantaged job seekers and also overseas to support worldwide access to technology.
